1. 개요
1993년, 오스트리아에서 Silenius (Michael Gregor), Protector (Richard Lederer)에 의해 결성된 2인조 앳모스페릭 / 심포닉 블랙 메탈 밴드이다.가사의 테마는 초기 EP/Demo 시절까지는 오컬트가 주 테마였지만, 1집 Lugburz부터 톨킨의 소설이 주 가사테마가 되었다.
정통파 메탈 리스너들 사이에선 심포닉 블랙은 두고두고 까임거리가 되지만, 예외로 Emperor, Fanisk 등과 함께 까방권을 획득한 몇 안되는 심포닉 블랙 메탈 밴드들 중 하나이다.

Summoning의 첫 앨범이자 가장 저평가를 받는 앨범. 들어보자마자 알겠지만 엄청난 똥음질을 자랑한다.
