1. 개요

On Devember 22nd 2019, I joined JTOH for the first time.
저는 2019년 12월 22일에 JToH에 처음으로 가입했습니다.

I was always Interested in Roblox obbies but neber found anything of much substance,
저는 항상 로블록스 오비 게임에 관심이 있었지만, 제대로 된 콘텐츠를 찾지 못했습니다.

but something with JToH almost immediately clicked.
하지만 JToH를 사용하면서 뭔가 즉시 마음에 와닿는 부분이 있었습니다.

Even from the very beginning when I was checking out Ring 1 for the first time, the tower game always evoked this strange sense of nostalgia.
처음 링 1을 방문했을 때부터, 그 타워 게임은 묘한 향수를 불러일으켰습니다.

despite being a realatively new game to Roblox. The first large area realese I was able to witness, finally having enough of the game unlocked, was Ring 8 in July 2020.
로블록스에서 비교적 신작 게임임에도 불구하고, 제가 게임을 충분히 해금하고 나서야 처음으로 대규모 지역 업데이트를 접할 수 있었던 것은 2020년 7월의 링 8이었습니다.

However, the very first area I was able to join on release was actually Arcane Area in May 2020.
하지만 제가 출시 당일에 처음으로 참여할 수 있었던 지역은 사실 2020년 5월에 공개된 아케인 아레아였습니다.

And this is where my YouTube journey begun. After seeing "guessmynamenow", one of the JToH YouTube veterans, recording their completions of towers and uploading them
그리고 이것이 제 유튜브 여정의 시작이었습니다. JToH 유튜브 베테랑 중 한 명인 "guessmynamenow" 님이 타워를 성공하는 영상을 찍어 올리는 것을 보고 나서부터였죠.

I thought... why not do same! Surprisingly I found it to be more rewarding than simply beating the steeples in Arcan Area and being done with them.
저도 똑같이 해 보면 어떨까 생각했어요! 놀랍게도, 아케인 아레아의 스티플들을 그냥 깨고 끝내는 것보다 훨씬 더 보람 있었어요.

After I fully completed that area, I would continue to record a lot of the towers I beat and uploaded them.
그 지역을 완전히 클리어한 후에는 제가 클리어한 타워들을 많이 녹화해서 업로드했습니다.

It was fun to document my completions in a way, but then I did a bit more looking around the YouTube space of the game and found "banana",
게임 클리어 과정을 기록하는 것도 재밌었는데, 유튜브에서 이 게임 관련 영상을 좀 더 찾아보다가 "바나나"라는 유튜버를 발견했어요.

One of the biggest JToH channels at the time, and still are to this day despite... Well... it's been 3 years already wow[2]
당시 가장 큰 JToH 채널 중 하나였고, 오늘날까지도 여전히 그렇습니다... 음... 벌써 3년이 되었다니 놀랍네요.

So, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened next. If simply recording and uploading my completions felt rewarding enough,
그러니 다음에 무슨 일이 일어났을지 짐작하는 건 어렵지 않겠죠. 단순히 성공하는 영상을 녹화해서 올리는 것만으로도 충분히 보람을 느꼈으니까요.

evolving int a guide channel was even more awesome. I experimented with a few other video formats here and there,
가이드 채널로 발전하게 된 건 정말 멋진 일이었어요. 중간중간 다른 영상 형식도 몇 가지 시도해 봤죠.

but I found that the simple guide format worked best for me. Through this, I was able to meet some amazing people who I still talk to.
하지만 저는 간단한 가이드 형식이 저에게 가장 효과적이라는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 덕분에 저는 지금도 연락하고 지내는 훌륭한 사람들을 만날 수 있었습니다.

I also kept refining my editing style and improved my skill level.
저는 편집 스타일을 계속 다듬고 기술 수준을 향상시켰습니다.

Reaching Extreme difficulty, then Terrifying difficulty, then actually breaking into a bit of Catastrophic difficulty, just last year
Extreme 난이도에 도달했고, 그 다음엔 Terrifying 난이도를 넘어, 작년에는 실제로 Catastrophic 난이도까지 올라갔습니다.

which I never expected to be able to reach, and definitely wouldn't have if I never started Youtube.
제가 결코 도달할 수 있을 거라고 예상하지 못했던 것이고, 유튜브를 시작하지 않았더라면 절대로 도달하지 못했을 것입니다.

But now, all great things must come to and end.
하지만 모든 위대한 것에는 끝이 있기 마련입니다.

Or an... extended hiatus... I guess I don't know how to transition to the next part of this.
아니면... 장기간의 휴식... 어떻게 다음 단계로 넘어가야 할지 모르겠네요.
