로고는 각 멤버를 상징하는 5개의 심볼이 서로가 가진 다른 재능을 모아 하나로 연결하는 형상이다.

8. 여담

‘sure place’라는 음악 레이블에서 앨범 프로듀싱을 담당하고 있다.[2] 본래 sure place는 Geenius의 데뷔 소식을 처음 알린 2023년 연말 보도 기사에서는 소속사로 소개되었으나 데뷔 직전인 24년 1월에 전속 프로듀싱 레이블로 정정되었다.

데뷔일 기준 그룹 평균 연령은 만 21.4세로 걸그룹치고는 평균 나이가 꽤 높게 데뷔한 편이다.[3] 2020년 이후 데뷔한 이른바 4세대 걸그룹 중에서 데뷔 시점 기준 평균 연령이 높은 편에 속한다.

2월을 제외하고 멤버들의 생일이 붙어있다. 미카-1월 8일, 시온-3월 7일, 조에-4월 12일, 안다미로-5월 6일, 예영-5월 31일이다.

과반수의 멤버가 서바이벌 프로그램 경력자다. 예영은 Mnet의 걸스플래닛999 : 소녀대전에, 조에는 JTBC의 믹스나인에 참가했고 시온은 양쪽 모두 참가했었다.

멤버 전원이 블록베리크리에이티브 연습생 출신이다. 2018년부터 함께 연습하다[4] 전속 계약이 만료되면서 현 소속사와 전속 계약을 체결하여 드디어 6년만에 데뷔를 하게 되었다.[5]

안다미로를 제외한 4인은 전 소속사의 모회사인 폴라리스엔터테인먼트 소속 데뷔조 'Polaris Girls' 멤버로 공개된 이력이 있다. 당시 공개 연습생 시스템은 일본 IT 기업 '도너츠'가 제작한 어플 MYLIVE를 통해 당시 월말평가 1등이 라이브를 하는 형태였다.[6]

2024년 8월 22일, 데뷔곡 Voyage의 뮤직비디오 제작비가 제작사에 지급되지 못했다는 내용의 기사가 나왔다. 해당 제작사에 지급 주체가 블록베리크리에이티브로 특정되어 여전히 블록베리크리에이티브와 소속사 관계로 남아있는 것으로 확인되었다. 당시 미지급된 뮤직비디오 잔금은 약 3500만원. 이 때문인지 첫 앨범 발매 이후 공백기가 계속 이어지고 있다.

블록베리크리에이티브 사옥 내에 있는 연습실을 그대로 사용 중인 것으로 보인다.

2025년 1월 아이돌 브랜드 평판에서 뜬금없이 14위를 차지했다. 2024년 1월 이후 음반 발매 및 활동을 하지 않았음에도 불구하고 이례적으로 상당히 높은 위치에 이름을 올렸다.

2025년 9월, 드디어 컴백에 대한 소식이 공식적으로 공개되었다. Listening Party를 통해 새 앨범의 이름 'Love Don't Change'를 공개했으며, 'Love'가 키워드라고 한다. 새 앨범에는 멤버들이 프로듀싱과 안무 제작 전체에 참여했다. 리스닝 파티에서는 'I.L.Y'와 'Deja-Vu', 'Cupid-Dough'를 공개했다. 리스닝 파티에서 팬들의 의견을 받아 앨범을 완성할 예정이라고 한다.

[1] 한국 국적 4명(예영, 시온, 미카, 안다미로)과 이탈리아 국적 1명(조에)으로 구성된 걸그룹 이다.[2] 이달의 소녀의 앨범 Flip That A&R을 담당한 슈어 킴(Sure Kim)이 설립한 레이블이다.[3] 2018년 폴라리스 걸즈로 데뷔하려던 계획이 무산된 이후 최종적으로 약 6년이라는 긴 시간이 지난 후에야 데뷔했기 때문이다.[4] 기사로는 '멤버 교체 없이'가 언급되어 있으나, 블록베리 공개 연습생 '베베즈'로 공개되어 함께 연습했던 정민이 23년 4월 퇴사하는 등 멤버 변화가 있기는 했었다. 데뷔 사실 공개 시점 즈음, Geenius 5인과 정민, 그리고 다른 연습생까지 7인이 함께한 베베즈 데뷔조 셀카가 공개되기도 하였다. 기사 내용은 2018년부터 이 5명 안에서는 중간에 투입되거나 제외되었던 적 없이 쭉 함께 해왔다는 의미로 보인다.[5] 다만 후술할 내용을 통해 알 수 있듯이, 해당 소속사에서 완전히 벗어난 것은 아니다.[6] 조에는 믹스나인 출연 이후로 첫 번째 공개 연습생이었으며, 2018년 9월과 11월에 예영과 시온이 공개되었다. 이후 2019년 1월에 미카의 공개를 마지막으로 'Polaris Girls'는 무산되었다.
