1. 개요

일본의 록밴드, L'Arc~en~Ciel의 2번째 싱글. 처음으로 오리지널 커플링 곡이 수록되었다.

2. 상세

Vivid Colors의 유래는 하이도가 팬으로부터 컵을 선물 받았는데, 그 컵에 Vivid라고 쓰여져 있어 거기에 착안했다고 한다. 그리고 ken이 대학교에 다니면서 후렴구는 이미 완성된 상태여서 인디즈 시절에 'New Song'이라는 가제로 라이브를 한 적도 있었다고 한다.

또한, 이 곡으로 뮤직 스테이션에 첫 출연을 하게 되는데, VTR로 그 때의 모습만 나오면 멤버들은 부끄러워한다. 당시에 너무 긴장한게 티가 났고 본인들이 보기에도 복장이 촌스럽기 때문. 멤버들에게는 잊고 싶은 기억일 듯 하다.[1]

라르크 최초의 커플링 곡인 Brilliant Years는 올드팬들 사이에서는 나름 인기곡이었는데 최초의 커플링곡 답게 라르크의 커플링곡 중에서 최초로 PV가 존재하는 커플링곡으로 잘 알려져 있었다. 라이브에서는 97년 리인카네이션 이후로 연주된 적이 없다.
