2016년, 표를 구매했지만 소아암으로 인해 콘서트에 참석하지 못한 Karinya Chen 이라는 10대 팬을 위해 직접 병원을 방문해 노래를 불러준 일화가 있다. 해당 팬은 5년간의 장기간 투병 중이었으며, 이 소식을 접한 플로렌스는 기타리스트 로버트와 함께 병실에서 팬을 위한 라이브를 진행했고, Dog Days Are Over를 비롯한 몇 곡을 팬 앞에서 직접 불러주었다. 이 장면을 담은 영상은 이후 유튜브를 통해 공개되어 사람들에게 큰 감동을 주었고, 플로렌스 웰치의 좋은 일화로 언급된다. 안타깝게도 이후 해당 팬은 투병 끝에 세상을 떠난 것으로 전해진다. 영상
