1. 개요
'Scream & Shout'은 will.i.am(윌아이엠)과 브리트니 스피어스가 2012년 11월 20일 발매한 싱글이다.2. 상세
윌아이엠의 정규 4집 '#willpower'의 두 번째 싱글이다. 브리트니 스피어스가 함께 참여했는데, 윌아이엠은 브리트니의 정규 7집의 수록곡인 'Big Fat Bass'에 참여한 적이 있다.2012년 11월 17일 노래가 유출되면서 당초 계획보다 빠른 11월 20일에 발매가 이루어졌다.
이 노래가 큰 히트를 거두자 브리트니의 정규 8집에 대한 방향성이 크게 바뀌게 된다. 당초 브리트니는 8집으로 일렉트로니카에 어쿠스틱을 섞은 스타일을 원했으나, 이 노래의 성공을 본 브리트니의 아버지가 윌아이엠을 총괄 프로듀서로 앉혔다고 전해진다. 결국 정규 8집은 이 노래처럼 EDM 사운드가 메인이 됐는데, 평론적으로 좋은 소리를 듣지 못하며 정규 8집의 부진에 한몫하게 된다. 그래서인지 정규 8집 이후로 브리트니는 더 이상 윌아이엠과 작업하지 않을 거 같았는데..
2023년 7월 21일에 둘이 신곡 Mind Your Business를 냈다.

한동안 부진한 싱글 차트 성적을 기록했던 윌아이엠이었는데, Scream & Shout은 브리트니의 파워 덕분인지 매우 큰 성공을 거두었다. 빌보드 핫 100에선 3위까지 올랐고, 영국을 비롯, 벨기에, 프랑스, 독일, 아일랜드, 스코틀랜드, 스위스 등 상당수 유럽 국가에선 싱글 차트 1위를 기록했다. 캐나다와 뉴질랜드에서도 1위를 차지했으며, 그외 대부분의 주요 국가에서 5위권 이내로 진입했다.
2012년 11월 발매됐음에도 2012년 영국 연말 차트에 78위까지 올라갔으며, 이듬해엔 빌보드 연말 차트 23위, 영국 연말 차트 18위를 기록했다.
현재 RIAA로부터 미국내 판매량 300만 장 이상을 의미하는 3 플래티넘 인증을 획득했으며, 전 세계적으로 800만 장 이상의 판매량을 기록하고 있다.
