1. 개요

인디게임 개발사 액 스튜디오(Ackk Studios)에서 2013년부터 개발을 시작해서 2019년 1월 17일에 출시한 롤플레잉 턴제 비디오 게임. 게임 제목은 Y2K라고 읽는다.

90년대 세기말 미국의 모습을 담아낸 게임이라고 한다.

게임 플레이 타임은 총 25시간 정도로 장편 RPG 치고는 그리 길지 않다.

토비 폭스가 Into the Mind라는 음악으로 참여했다. 팬들의 반응은 이 게임의 존재 이유가 저 음악 하나 때문이라고...[1]

비타판이 나온다고 했으나 발표한지 3년이 지나가도 나올 기미가 보이지 않고 있다.

유저 평점

발매전부터 꾸준한 관심을 얻은 것과 달리 발매 후의 평가는 좋지 않다. 점수는 59~64점대이며 유저평점은 3~4점대 수준으로 낮다.

후술할 아래의 사건도 평가에 악영향을 끼친 것으로 보인다.

2019년 KOTY 차점작에 등재되는 굴욕을 맞이하기도 했는데, 다만 이에 대해서는 논란이 오고간 바 있다.

5. 논란

게임에서 엘리사 램의 죽음을 언급해서 비판을 받았다. 출처

이뿐만 아니라 일본의 소설가 무라카미 하루키의 소설 중 비공인 구절을 다룬 것도 비판을 받았다고 한다.
