1. 개요
미하라IC는 165번 국도 미나미한나도로(E91, 구 미나미한나유료도로 구간)의 나들목(1번)이며, 나들목의 진출입 요금소를 포함해 본선요금소(TB)인 타지하야TB가 설치되어 있다.2. 명칭 및 상세
본 소재지는 하비키노시지만, 사카이시 미하라구 경계에 소재하고 있다. 나들목의 경우, 외부 접속부, 즉 미하라JCT 직하의 미하라JCT마에 교차로 소재지를 기준으로 명명된 것으로, 개통 당시 기준으로는 해당 부분이 2005년 2월 1일 사카이시 편입 이전의 미하라초(美原町) 소재기에 이를 따온 것이다. 단, 편입 이후로 2006년 4월 1일 사카이시의 정령지정도시 승격으로 해당 지역이 미하라구가 되면서, 현재는 해당 부분의 소재지 구명과 일치하는 형태가 되었다.요금소의 명칭인 타지하야(たじはや)는 불분명한 유래를 가진다. 미하라구 및 하비키노시 일대가 과거 카와치국 타지히군[1](丹比[2]郡)에 속해있었다. 이 지역은 타지히씨(多治比氏) 씨족이 다스리던 땅이었는데, 이들의 선조인 타치바나노나카츠 황녀(센카 천황의 황후)를 (불확실하지만) 타지하야히메라 불렀다며 이 명칭에서 유래된 것으로 보기도 한다. 또는 사카이시 남부에 꽤 떨어진 곳이지만 신사인 타지하야히메[3]신사(多治速比売神社)가 있는데 이를 따온 것이라고도 한다. 공교롭게도 타지하야히메신사가 세워진 시기가 센카 천황기기는한데, 두 명칭 사이에 구체적인 연관성은 밝혀지지 않았다. 굳이 이런 명칭을 찾아 쓴 것은 당시 오사카부도로공단에서 명칭을 따올 때 사카이시와 하비키노시의 경계라 행정구역 명칭을 쓰는 대신 적당한 설화 유래 명칭을 찾은 것으로 추정된다.
타지하야TB의 경우 다소 복잡한 편인데, 한와도의 미하라JCT 부근은 반개방식 구간이다. 따라서 와카야마·난키타나베 방향은 요금 개방 상태로 진입 가능하므로 미하라IC 진출입과 똑같이 취급된다. 반면 마츠바라 방향은 진출입 시 한와도 요금을 같이 처리하게 된다. 단, 이 처리들은 모두 현금 이용 시 기준이며, ETC 이용 시에는 모든 방향이 폐쇄식 기준으로 계산되므로, 출장 정산 후 재입장 처리가 된다.
나들목의 경우, 벤노쇼 방향 편방향 나들목이다. 기능적으로는 한와도 미하라키타IC, 미하라미나미IC와 같이 미하라JCT 하부의 미하라JCT마에 교차로 접속을 위한 나들목이다. 외부측도 32번 오사카부도 편방향 접속이며, 실질적으로는 32번 오사카부도를 경유해 한와도 하부를 병행하는 36번 오사카부도 바이패스 및 직진방향 사카이시도 탄조 17호선과 접속되는 셈이다.
