1. 개요
영국 헤이스팅스 출신의 디제이, 프로듀서. 현대 프로그레시브 하우스 장르의 음악적 발전과 대중화를 이끈 주역으로, 트랜스 음악이 유행하기 전인 1990년대와 2000년대 초반까지 가장 많은 인지도와 명성을 떨쳤던 뮤지션 중 한명으로 평가받는다.지금으로써는 매우 차분하고 고전적인 느낌이 강하지만 당시로써는 매우 혁신적인 초기 프로그레시브 하우스의 개념을 정립했으며, 믹싱 스타일도 서정적인 분위기보다 테크노 스타일에 가까운 하우스를 트는 편이다. 또한 최초의 디제잉 컴필레이션 앨범인 Renaissance: The Mix Collection[1]을 발매한 인물이기도 하다.
