1집 앨범 중 라이브에서 가장 사랑받는 명곡이자 메탈리카 라이브 공연의 마지막을 장식하는 곡이다. 느린 템포로 시작해서 기타 솔로 부분에서 달려주는 템포가 일품이다. 'We’re scanning the scene in the city tonight' 구절에서 city 부분에 현재 공연하는 도시 이름을 말하는 것이 관례가 되었다. 제이슨 뉴스테드 재직 시절에는 이벤트성으로 가끔씩 제이슨이 리드보컬을 맡기도 했다. Master of Puppets에 이어 메탈리카 라이브 연주 회수 2위를 차지하고 있다. 80-90년대 라이브에서는 중반에 드럼만 연주하면서 제임스가 관객석에 다가가 팬들에게 'Seek and Destroy'라고 외치게 하는 퍼포먼스를 하기도 했다. 00년대 들어서부터는 하지 않는데 라스의 체력 문제가 주 원인일 것으로 추측된다.3. 가사
