Pia가 조금씩 일렉트로 노선을 틀기 시작한 앨범. 뉴메탈 스타일과 이모코어 성향이었던 전작들과는 달리, 양산형(?)음악[1]이 아닌 피아 특유의 신디사이저 중심의 얼터너티브 메탈의 색체가 드러나기 시작하는 앨범이다. 다만 메탈 보다는 얼터너티브 락 또는 모던락 느낌의 곡들도 많은 편이다. 이미 넬은 소속사를 1년 전에 나갔지만 그들과 친분이 있으니 어쩌면 영향을 받았을 수도 있다. 서태지도 받았을 정도이니... 전작가지 무리해서 내지른 탓인지 옥요한의 창법이 바뀌었으며, [2]클린보컬에서 목소리를 '상시'긁지 않고, 필요할 때만 스크리밍을 하는 방식으로 창법을 바꾸었다. The Oracle은 피아의 2019년 11월 16일의 마지막 콘서트의 마지막 곡이었다.[9]
Black Fish Swim (1회 충청북도 영동군, 3회 경상남도 통영시), Walk In Waterfall (105회 글로벌 특집 1탄)가 1박 2일의 BGM 곡으로 삽입되었다.
타이틀 곡인 Black Fish Swim은 영어버전을 먼저 만들고 그 다음에 한국어 버전을 만들었다고 한다.
뮤직비디오에서 기범이 베이스를 좌우 뒤집어서 치는 모습을 볼 수 있는데 당시에 기범의 팔이 부러져서 그런 것으로 추정된다.
수록곡 Jasmine의 가사인 Say Believe Want U to stay here은 Say Believe we Want U to stay here로 약간 변형되어 마지막 콘서트의 굿즈 티셔츠와 마지막 문구로 사용되었다. 뜻은 말해보세요, '당신이 여기 머물기를 원한다고 믿으세요' 라고 정도가 되겠지만 그들은 결국 우리들의 곁에 머무르지 못했다.
[1] 당시에는 뉴메탈 밴드의 레드오션화로 3집 발매 때부터 이미 뉴메탈은 사그라드는 추세였다. 그들의 음악은 양산형이라는 말을 듣기에는모욕? 당연히 퀄리티도 좋고 특색도 있으나 장르 자체가 양산화 된는 추세였다.[2] 지난 3집 활동당시에 생긴 성대결절로 인한 창법 변경인 듯하다.[3] 즉, 생목에서 믹스보이스 스타일로 바뀌었다.[4] 다만 바이브레이션은 이전과 비슷하게 거의 없다.[5] 이 앨범 부터 기범이 5현베이스 (Status energy 5 bass)를 가지고 나오는 일은 다시는 볼 수 없게 되었다.[다만] 녹음 당시에는 5현으로 녹음했다.[7] 나중에 Urban Explorer엘범에서 리메이크 된다.[8] 1분3초 즈음에 오류인지는 모르지만 노래가 부자연스럽게 끝난다. 이전 인터뷰를 보면 부자연스럽게 끝내면 재미있을 것 같다는 헐랭의 아이디어 였다고 한다.[9] 진짜 마지막 연주인 이유가 바로 마지막 콘서트의 2일차, 즉 마지막 콘서트의 마지막 날의 마지막 연주이었기 때문이다.
