1. 개요
줄리안 브림(Julian Alexander Bream, 1933년 7월 5일 영국 런던 ~ 2020년 8월 14일 (87세)
스포츠카 마니아였던 브림은 1984년에 음주운전으로 인한 교통사고로 오른손에 장해를 입어 한 때 은퇴를 고려하기도 했지만 피나는 노력 끝에 재기에 성공했다. 그러나 테크닉적으로 이전같지는 않아서 연주 스타일이 달라졌다.
70세가 되던 해인 2002년에 공식적으로 은퇴하였다. 은퇴를 하고 자서전을 집필하였고, 간간히 클래식 기타도 치고 인터뷰도 한다.

- 다음의 작곡가들이 브림에게 곡을 헌정했다. Malcolm Arnold, Richard Rodney Bennett, Benjamin Britten, Leo Brouwer, Peter Racine Fricker, Hans Werner Henze, Humphrey Searle, Toru Takemitsu, Michael Tippett, William Walton and Peter Maxwell Davies
- 여러 아티스트와 합동 음반을 냈지만, 그 중 가장 사랑받는 것은 존 윌리엄스(클래식 기타리스트) 일 것이다.
- 젊은 시절 안드레스 세고비아와 만남을 가진 적이 있다고 했다. 세고비아는 브림이 음악에 대한 깊은 공부를 할 수 있도록 장학금을 주며 개인적인 응원을 했다고 한다.
- 호세 로마니요스의 하우저 카피 기타를 사용했으며, 로마니요스는 줄리안 브림 덕에 유명세를 탔다. 카피 대상이 된 하우저 기타는 세르지우 아브레우의 기타였는데, 세르지우 또한 제작자로 전향하여 하우저 스타일의 기타를 제작했다.
