5. 여담

• MTV에서 너바나가 이 곡을 연주하려고 하면 방송을 중지시켜야 돼서 조마조마했다는 이야기가 있다. 실제로 밴드는 1992년 MTV 어워드 당시 Lithium을 부를 순서에 이 곡의 첫 소절을 은근슬쩍 연주한 적이 있다. 그 대신 새터데이 나잇 라이브에서 뮤지컬 게스트로 출연해 불렀다.[1]
• 발매 당시 조지 W. 부시의 딸 제나 부시가 이 곡을 듣고 있자 아버지이던 부시가 가사가 불건전하다며 CD를 뺏어 부숴버린 적이 있다고 한다.
