이 곡의 기타리프는 밴드 스테레오포닉스의 곡 'Same Size Feet' 에서 따온것으로, 스테레오포닉스의 보컬 존 켈리가 이 곡을 듣고 노엘에게 도둑이라며 놀리기도 했지만 자신도 노엘의 곡을 많이 베껴 왔으니 한 번쯤은 넘어가준다며 쿨하게 넘겼다고...[1]
B사이드에 실린 Just Getting Older과 Idlers Dream[2]은 오아시스 팬들에게 숨은 명곡이라는 평을 듣는 노엘의 잔잔한 어쿠스틱 넘버이다. 그리고 이 곡의 아웃트로는 바로 다음 트랙인 Force Of Nature과 이어진다.
이 곡은 오아시스가 5집 시절까지 낸 싱글들중 평론가들에게 좋은 평가를 받은 싱글중 하나이다. NME는 2011년 11월, 이 곡을 지난 15년간 가장 좋았던 음악 150곡 중 143위에 두었다. 이 노래는 2012년 런던 올림픽에서 쓰일 예정이였지만 개막식이 생각보다 시간이 오래 걸리는 이유로 쓰이지 않게 되었다.
이 곡의 제목인 The Hindu Times의 유래는 노엘이 어느날 자선 가게에서 본 티셔츠의 글귀에서 영감을 받았다고 전해진다.

3. 여담
본래 뮤직비디오는 뉴델리에서 촬영되었지만 공개되지 않았고, 결국 애비 로드 스튜디오에서 촬영했다고 한다.4집에서 해오던 싸이키델릭하고 몽환적인 분위기의 음악과는 상당히 다른 분위기를 띄기 때문에 몇몇 팬들은 이 곡이 오아시스의 2번째 부활을 상징하는 곡이라고 생각하기도 한다.
이 곡의 데모 버전을 들어보면 4집 시절 곡들의 데모 버전과 비슷하게 상당히 무거운 분위기이다. 그러나 완성된 버전은 너무 신나는 팝송같은 분위기라 싫어하는 팬들도 종종 있다고 한다.
