• 2012년 7월 25일 개통했다. 개통 당시에는 오전 6시부터 오후 10시까지만 운영했다.[3]

4. 특징

• 2005년 철거된[5] 양촌휴게소의 부지를 활용해 건설됐다.
• 해당 나들목이 없던 시절에는 논산 나들목과 계룡 나들목 간 거리가 약 22km였다.
• 국방대학교와 탑정호가 이 나들목의 근처에 있다.
• 나들목의 구조가 독특한데, 진출로 한가운데에 삼거리가 있어 논산 방향에서 진출한 차량이 고속도로를 빠져나오기 위해서는 좌회전을 해야 한다. 그나마 교통량이 많지 않은 나들목이고, 상주영천고속도로 서군위 나들목처럼 시야를 가리는 장애물은 없다.
